Reflective Sheeting Buying FAQ

What do buyers ask before ordering reflective sheeting?

Below are the ten FAQ themes from the reflective-materials research brief, answered in demo-safe language. Replace any commercial number with your real policy before go-live.

1. How is retroreflectivity retained over time?

Retroreflectivity declines with weathering, orientation, contamination and damage. Warranted outdoor life assumes stated climate zone, vertical mounting and maintenance conditions on the TDS.

2. What is the expected outdoor service life?

Demo catalog ranges vary by grade family (about 5–12 years). Live offers must quote the SKU warranty, not a category slogan.

3. Is it compatible with screen printing inks?

Often yes for engineer grade and many HIP constructions — only with approved ink lists per SKU.

4. Can it be printed with UV digital printers?

Sometimes. UV digital compatibility is per SKU / ink / printer, never a blanket grade promise.

5. Can you slit, sheet or plotter-cut custom sizes?

Yes in the demo commercial model: precision slit, sheets, kiss cut and plotter cut are standard converting asks.

6. What is the MOQ for standard and custom products?

Demo default for standard colors: 1 master roll. Custom colors/widths may raise MOQ — confirm on RFQ.

7. Are samples available before bulk ordering?

Yes. Request a sample with grade/Type, color and process. Mark demo shipments clearly until real QC photos replace placeholders.

8. Which ASTM, EN or local requirements are supported?

Orientation covers ASTM D4956 Type families and EN 12899-1 RA classes. Support means matching a SKU report to the buyer specification, not claiming every Type in every color ex-stock.

9. Can you provide TDS, test reports and certificates?

Required before live commerce. Demo pages expose the download slots; attach real PDF TDS/SDS/RA/DoC.

10. What are production and shipping lead times?

Demo default production window: 10–15 days for stock constructions, longer for special colors or wide-angle films. Freight is quoted to destination port.

11. Do you supply vehicle conspicuity tape as well as sheeting?

Yes — vehicle outline programs are a separate line from traffic-sign sheeting. Start at conspicuity tape, DOT-C2 reflective tape, and trucks and trailers. Regulation context: vehicle tape regulations.

12. Is factory “反光布” the same as reflective fabric for clothing?

Usually no. In many Chinese factory catalogs, 反光布 means reflective sheeting for signs and advertising. Clothing fabric/HTV is a different RFQ. Use the sheeting hub unless you explicitly need textiles.

13. Do you also supply textiles, HTV, glow film and anti-slip tape?

Yes—as side catalog lines. Start at reflective textiles, reflective HTV, glow-in-the-dark, and anti-slip tape. The homepage hero remains sheeting + vehicle conspicuity.

14. I searched for 3M / ORACAL / Avery / Siser—what should I open?

Use the independent alternative landings (no authorization implied): 3M alternatives, ORACAL, Avery conspicuity, Siser HTV. Then RFQ the matching factory construction.
